It’s good to be back in India. Thankfully, my last trip prepared me for many things: The ever-present smell that permeates everything, the traffic, the sounds of construction/children playing/horns honking, people sleeping in the streets, and everything else that makes Mumbai special.
But nothing, I repeat nothing, can prepare you for what can only be described as the most inhumane act that took place no more than one hour ago. People, I’m talking about karaoke Britney Spears played during my dinner.
I’m fairly sure that type of thing is banned by the Geneva Convention. The injustice. The horror.
Former Mrs. Whitetrash behind, I have arrived in Mumbai. My luggage arrived on time, there was my name on a sign at the airport, and my hotel room waiting for me. I was expecting much more of a headache after my horrid experience trying to leave the States.
I wish I had more to say here, but to be honest, the moment I entered my hotel room, I slept for 14 hours straight. The only thing that I could possibly write on that subject is that the antimalarials are starting to kick in.
